the mind {thinking}

It's been said that the brain processes 100 million billion actions per second.  That's pretty impressive considering that we only use about 3% of our brain's capacity.  What a marvelous instrument we've been given!  It's important to note the difference between the brain and the mind.  The mind is the realm where conscious and subconscious thoughts exist. The depth of our thoughts cannot be physically seen, yet they are real..and powerful. The brain is the processor of our thoughts, it's where neural pathways are formed and thought patterns take shape.  These thought patterns, also referred to as a default mode can be quite destructive.  With focused and contemplative meditation through various tools offered in the soul care protocol, you can begin to transform your default mode by using the mind to rewire the brain.  The emerging science of neuroplasticity shows it is possible to completely transform your default mode into one that is life-giving.  This concept of brain mailability is actually not so new, as it is found in scripture. Paul writes:

"do not conform to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." -Rom. 12:2

the gut {sensing}

The Will  is where choices are made and action/inaction is taken.  It determines your willingness (or unwillingness) to choose. It's impossible to over-emphasize the power of choice.  Our choices determine the trajectory  of our lives, they either guide us toward or away from our destinies. In life, theres' always an option of  choosing "bad, good, better, or best".  God wants the best for us, but unfortunately we sometimes settle for what's good or worse due to a wounded soul. With a healthy soul, your choices will naturally align with God's best, helping you to make destiny-fueling decisions.  Remember this, the only difference between the called and the chosen,  is that the chosen are willing. Never underestimate the power of choice!

The Will is also where we have gut impulses or "ah-ha" moments.  I strongly believe it is connected to inspiration, creativity and spiritual sensitivity/receptivity.

the heart {feeling}

Probably the messiest and most important layer of the human soul is The Heart.  I refer to the heart as the "seat of emotions."   Things like anger, bitterness, fear, resentfulness, insecurity and unforgiveness can take root in the heart and wreak havoc in a person's soul and consequently, their lives. Studies have shown that toxic emotions can manifest as dis-ease. The wise king Solomon put it like this:

"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it"- Prov. 4:23
